Lightening Up Your Bed Room
Have you ever wondered, what do you miss the most about your house when you have to spend a day somewhere else other than your house – like if you are on a business trip, or out of city to attend a marriage of your close relative – or on a hillside trip with your family, class fellows or colleagues?
Certainly, what you miss about your house the most is your bedroom, because this is the place where you refresh yourself with a proper and relaxed sleep. Thus, for your bedroom you want to make everything-from the interior to lightening – perfect. However, here we are going to discuss how lighting up your bedroom can enhance its whole look.
Choose the Lighting Options According to Your Taste
You need to take age and your taste into account while selecting lighting options for your bed rooms. For elderly people, a more calmed and relaxed lighting, giving the bedroom a quiet mood, is preferred. However, this is not to be followed on strict basis because it is ultimately the choice of the occupant.
Consider the Paint while Selecting Lighting
The color of the paint in your bedroom plays a significant role in choosing a light design. If you are choosing a dim colored light, and the paint of your room already has a muffled look, then it would rather give a boring look to your home. If you want to give a quiet mood to you bedroom — then better go for neutral colors like beige, and pale colors like light lemon or light green and then a choose lighting accordingly. However, choosing very shocking colors is not a good option for bedroom. For your children’s bedroom –you can use baby or natural colors with a brighter look. Then choose a bright light that enhances the overall look of the room making it more refreshing to eyes –because children love livelier look of room.
Where to Place the Lighting?
Whether it is a bed room of children or elderly people, using chandelier in the bedroom is never a good option. You can have central lighting fixtures in the middle of the side or front walls or you can also add two lamps on two corners of the rooms that will enhance the soft look of your home. You can also use lights which not only serve the lighting purpose but also add style to your bed room’s look – for instance, use floor lamps, sconces and can lights as these create an aesthetic feel
Use Task Lighting Where Needed
If you have a bigger bedroom with paintings and photographs hanged on the walls –then go for task lights to highlight them – because these do not disturb the overall soothing feel.
Whatever the way you want to light up your bedroom – keep in mind that it should give a look of a real bedroom. Try to light it in the way that it should maintain a soft and relaxing look. Putting in too much of light cannot only disturb your bed room’s aesthetic feel but in summers it can also increase the temperature of your room.
